Dear President Bush,

We have never had a better opportunity for any president to foster stronger relations with Russia. Recognizing the recent spate of spy scandals, and Russia's financially motivated sale of arms to Iraq, we believe it is important to establish positive ethical relations with Russia.  We also believe it imperative to vitalize the stagnant Russian economy. The world will not remain stable if we do not help the former communist block get themselves out of their decline.

"Mir" in Russian is "Peace".

Many Russians see Space Station Mir as their "Statue of Liberty".  It was through Mir that American Astronauts and Russian Cosmonauts became acquainted, leading to closer relations between Russia and America.  Mir acted as their lady with a light, a beacon that introduced Russia and Russians to freedom.

The Russians are destroying Mir since they cannot afford to maintain the station.  Mir's Gyro's are down and it's communication systems are failing.  There is a real and significant threat that Mir hits a populated area, contrary to NASA predictions.  Failure in Mir's de-orbiting could destroy the credibility of the International Space Station program and other space programs, it could even bankrupt Russia.

Having just returned from Russia, and meetings with their government, I received first hand the implications of Mir from their authorities.  We have until March 6th before time runs out.

InfoTelesys has the solution which benefits the U.S. and Russia, we would like to give you the opportunity to take the glory for saving Mir.

Three documents are included:

  Document Title Web Format
1. President Bush Cover and Intro.doc : - 1 page - Bullet point introduction. Bush Cover HTML
2. President Bush request.doc : - 3 pages - Detailed information and request. Bush Request HTML Page 1  Bush Request HTML Page 2  Bush Request HTML Page 3
3. infotelesys_intro.htm : Brief introduction to InfoTelesys. IT Introduction Web Page

Should you agree to consider assisting, Russia can provide InfoTelesys with a formal request from the Russian government to yourself.  Mr. Putin and Mr. Seleznev are aware of InfoTelesys' request to you.

We have until the 5th of March.  Russia has delayed the de-orbiting of Mir by ten days specifically for InfoTelesys to launch a campaign to raise funds for InfoTelesys part of which will be used to save Mir.  If the U.S. government is not interested in assisting, InfoTelesys will launch the campaign on the 6th.  After the 6th we could not make you the champion.

Kindest regards, and God bless,
Clive
