On the continuation of the functioning of orbital station " MIR "

The state Duma the federal meeting of Russian federation does confirm its position with respect to the continuation of the functioning of orbital station " MIR ", expressed in the decision of the state Duma of the federal meeting of Russian federation of 24 November of 2000 years 842-111 GD " about the functioning of the orbital station " OF MIR " in the manned regime/conditions ".

The need of retaining/maintaining the orbital station " MIR " is confirmed also by the new circumstances, which arose recently, in particular by the actually accepted by the United States of America solution about the creation of national antimissile system.

Is expedient to accept into the attention and the proposals about the non-budgetary financing of the functioning of orbital station entering " MIR", including due to the foreign sources.

Taking into account outlined above the state Duma the federal meeting of Russian federation POSTANOVLYA YET:

1. to turn to the President of Russian federation Mr. V.Putin with the call to abolish the decision of the government of Russian federation of 30 December of 2000 years? 1035 " about the completion of the work of the orbital manned complex

" MIR " and to give commission to Russian aerospace agency to carry out the measures, directed toward the guarantee of continuation of the functioning of orbital station " MIR " including in the manned regime/conditions, with the lift of the orbit of station is not later than on 25 February 2001 of year.

2. To direct the chairman of the state Duma the federal meeting of Russian federation G.N.Seleznevu to inform the President of the Russian federation Mr. V.Putin about the position of the state Duma.

3. To direct the present decision for the official publication in the " parliamentary newspaper ".

4. present decision comes into force from the day of its adoption.
